How to Write Baby Shower Invitations

Invitations are very important for any occasion.  Baby Showers are no exception to this rule.  Baby Shower Invitations, although certainly not as important as the wedding invitation, play a very important rule in the attendance and feel of the baby shower.  While other invitations might be a little more serious or elegant, the Baby Shower should be a very fun atmosphere that is a huge celebration of life.  Therefore, the Baby Shower Invitations should reflect this type of celebration.  It is good to have lively words, such as celebrate, fun, and happiness, when writing the invites so that the invitees know that it is going to be a happy, lively, and momentous occasion.  It is also nice to have vibrant colors in the invites, such as bright red, yellow, green, and blue.  This, along with the happy words, will convey to the invitees how much of a happy occasion this baby shower truly is. A sample of a message that could be written on the card would be,  we are gathering on so and so date to celebrate the birth of our beautiful baby boy/girl.  The invites should be mailed out approximately 3-4 prior to the shower to give the invitees plenty of time to R.S.V.P and to make sure that their schedule is clear for that day.  It is also important so that it gives them time to find the perfect gift for the baby shower, which is essentially a day where the parents and baby are “showered” with gifts.
